Join us for a fun night of poker with old friends and new faces from the local tech community, and play for your favourite charity or organization.

There is a minimum of $10,000 for the top players and their respective charities, in addition to great prizes! 

Not sure how to play poker? Don’t worry! We will also host an “Introduction to Poker” lesson and mini-tournament (see below for more info).

MAIN EVENT SCHEDULE

6:00 PM: Player Registration + Table Assignment

6:30 PM: Tournament Begins 

10:30 PM: Tournament Concludes + Winners Toast

Details:

  • Tournament style is No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em
  • No chip top ups or re-buys 
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top five (5) players
  • Winners must select one eligible not-for-profit OR one registered Canadian charity. Donation cannot be split to multiple organizations
  • Drink tickets and some food will be provided
  • Tax receipts will be provided from the OMERS Foundation

POKER LESSON FOR BEGINNERS & MINI-TOURNAMENT:

So, you want to be in the tournament but haven’t learned how to play poker?! Join us for a 45-minute lesson on how to play Texas Hold ‘Em, followed by a mini-tournament. Winner will also choose a charity to donate from their victory!
