RIC Centre is hosting a “How to Build a Product” seminar on “Developing an Industry 4.0 Product with help from CENGN” as part of our Expert Speaker Series.
During this interactive seminar, Robert will discuss the various services that CENGN has available to Canadian Small and Medium Enterprises. These services range from working with SME’s in demo building, validating, scaling and proof-of-concept for a wide variety of technologies. In addition to the services available, Robert will provide examples of specific projects that CENGN has been involved with as well as provide details on how an SME can get started with CENGN.

Robert McMillan is the Business Engineering Manager for CENGN – the Centre of Excellence for Next Generation Networking. Robert has an extensive background in the Telecommunications Industry beginning with Motorola. His areas of focus included wireless, satellite, wireline and VoIP communications systems. As a Director of Monitor Technologies, Robert co-developed and successfully marketed an early M2M device.
Robert now uses his knowledge of the ICT industry and personal experience as an entrepreneur in assisting Canadian companies in evolving their technology from the innovation to the commercialization phase.
CENGN (Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks) is a non-profit organization made up of a consortium of industry members and academia funded by its members and the federal Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) program. CENGN was founded to assist Canadian companies in re-establishing Canada’s role in leading the world in telecommunications technology.
