Blood Ties explores the spiritual and material bonds that shape familial histories and intimacies. By presenting narratives of individuals from transnational and translocal families, this exhibition demonstrates the ways in which multi-local identities embody a web of geographical encounters and cultural memories.
MAAD alumna Angel Ho brought her fascinating Tactilight to the set of Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet show on February 8th. The unique and mesmerizing lamp started out as Ho’s thesis project: LED lights embedded into handmade paper that reacts to the user’s manipulations.
Industrial Design alumnus Yi Jiang and his company YiREGO have made it to the finals of the 2017 Edison Awards. Drumi, a foot-powered washing machine invented by Jiang, is among the finalists in the water conservation category.
