In the coming months, organizations in the GTA are hosting hackathons to get tech enthusiasts excited about creating new and creative solutions in just a few days. Here’s a roundup of what’s happening.
This Thursday, March 16, we are hosting the first session of Entrepreneurship 100: Conversations Series 2. The topic of this session is Social Entrepreneurship, and we are excited to have an all-star lineup of guests.
The students behind CivicSpark – a University of Toronto group devoted to fostering the next generation of city builders – will bring 13 undergraduate teams from universities across the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA) together this weekend to offer solutions to the area’s affordable housing problem.
“Can we build sustainable, scalable, social enterprises that restore the rights and dignity of 10 million refugees by 2022?” Over 2,000 student teams responded to this year’s theme, in competition for the Hult Prize, with 300 teams competing at five regional competitions around the world this past weekend.
TORONTO, MARCH 1, 2017 – The Ontario Government, through the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), is now accepting applications for two highly popular features of its annual Discovery conference: the Social Enterprise Zone (SEZ) and the Social Enterprise Pitch Competition.
