Blender is an open source 3D Design Software Program used in 3D modelling and video game design. This class will act as an introduction to 3D design, including important concepts that differentiate 3D design from other field of design — uses of volume, axis, organic vs. non-organic modelling, Polygon vs. NURBS, the process of planning a 3D project, preparing the design for modelling and a short review of 3D programs available. The workshop will also involve building your first 3D model in Blender.

This workshop will be lead by Yifat Shaik, a professor of game design and 3D modeling at York University.

Basic computer knowledge and familliarity using Mac Computers is required. Space and equipment for this workshop is available on a first come, first served basis for ticket holders.
