Push is an invaluable controller for producers and performers. It's ability to seamlessly control Ableton with the touch of a pad or twist of a knob is unmatched by any other controller. In Part 2 of this workshop series we will continue exploring ways of triggering samples on the fly, playing notes live and even sequencing live drum patterns. Led by Off Centre DJ School owner/instructor Erik Laar, we will also break down details of effects use and melody composition in an attempt to collectively build a 1 minute song from scratch. This workshop will have both lecture and hands on components. Students are encouraged to participate in the groups technical and creative endeavours.

Online registration is required for this class. This workshop will take place in the Green Screen Room, located in the Digital Innovation Hub at Toronto Reference Library. Space is limited. Based on fire code regulations, the Green Screen Production Studio can accommodate seating for 10 people. Space for this workshop is available for ticket holders on a first come, first served basis.
