See like a Colourist
 
learn to make sure that all the video shots in each scene match one another with DaVinci Resolve. Learn to balance each shot so that nothing stands out in the sequence and produce a consistent look throughout your video. Be Introduced to DaVinci Resolve’s software and use a colourists tools to gain a polished look in your work.

Marisa Hoicka is a film colourist with a background as a narrative video artist and painter. Her experience includes colour grading ads, film and video. As a video artist, Hoicka’s “This is Not a Test,” a playful mockup of the SMPTE test pattern, was shown on all Air Canada flights. Her videos have also been shown in Berlin’s Galerie Kurt Im Hirsch, San Francisco’s MoMA, Oakville Galleries, Vidéographe, Trinity Square Video and across Canada. Hoicka has a Master in Digital Media (Ryerson), a Studio Art BFA (Concordia) and has taken a wide range of professional workshops and courses in video colour theory and practice.

 
Mac computers with DaVinci Resolve software installed will be supplied by the Toronto Public Library – Fort York Digital Innovation Hub.   Basic computer skills required.
