Toronto-based FinTech startup goPeer received the $25,000 Aird & Berlis StartupSource Market Entry Award as part of York University’s LaunchYU Accelerator program.
The funding includes $12,500 in cash and an equal amount in Aird & Berlis LLP legal services, as well as the $10,000 LaunchYU Accelerator Award.
goPeer is a peer to peer lending platform that aims to help Canadians lend and borrow from each other with an emphasis on financial wellness. Innovation York’s LaunchYU Accelerator program assists emerging entrepreneurs through workshops, with hands-on experience, one-on-one mentorship, investor office hours, and various networking resources.
