iGan Partners announced that Mark Bhattacharya has joined as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer (CCO) and that Stacey Kline will become an impact partner.

Prior to joining iGan Partners, Bhattacharya was at Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management as head of operations and CCO. He has previously worked as the CCO of Burgundy Asset Management and has had roles at UBS Global Asset Management and the Ontario Securities Commission. Bhattacharya began his career at PwC, working in the firm’s audit practice in Mississauga and the Cayman Islands. He is also an Ontario Chartered Accountant.

Kline is managing director of The Good Fund, a seed-stage impact fund for startups solving social and environmental challenges. Prior to founding The Good Fund, Kline was the director of innovation projects at Goodmans LLP. She currently serves as chair of the board of Save a Child’s Heart and is a member of the advisory board of SickKids’ Innovators Program.

iGan’s new hires come shortly after former iGan partner, VP, and chief operating officer (COO) Olivier Giner left the VC firm to join portfolio company OrbCare. After deciding to leave iGan to serve as OrbCare’s COO, Giner took on the role of CEO following the discovery that healthtech startup was insolvent.
