Spaces will be opening four offices in Toronto, two in Vancouver, and one in Montreal, Victoria, and Kelowna respectively. The sizes range from 20,000 sq. ft. to 78,000 sq. ft.
Spaces and Regus, have over 375,000 sq. ft. of new shared office and coworking space planned for 2019.
The largest of the locations, Spaces The Well will be 127,000 sq. ft, and located at Front Street West in Toronto. It is set to open in 2022.
Spaces Green Lamp is a 120,000 sq. ft. working space set to open in Vancouver in 2021. The building is inspired by a cube lamp design from Japanese artist Isamu Noguchi, according to Spaces, and will be located on West Georgia Street.
“Our Canadian expansion is about offering choice through an unparalleled network of office, co-working and meeting spaces,” said Wayne Berger, CEO of IWG Canada and Latin America. “It’s also about bringing together creative communities and growing in the most stunning and unique buildings in the country. We are transforming neighbourhoods and believe our new workspaces will be pillars of innovation and inspiration in cities for years to come.”
Regus will also be opening two new locations in 2019, and expanding one existing location. The two workspaces will be located in Victoria and Barrie, with the expansion happening at its Toronto Exchange Tower location. Regus said it is adding an additional floor to accommodate the growing demand in Toronto’s financial core.
Spaces also recently announced that Deloitte will be the sole tenant of its Vancouver Spaces Granville location, which is set to open this year.
