Vidyard releases tool giving businesses access to easy screen recording
Kitchener-based Vidyard released a Google Chrome extension that allows users to create, send, and track videos from their web browser. With ViewedIt, users can screen record with one click, and receive a notification when videos have been viewed, as well as insight into how long the recipient watched the video. The company says it’s helpful for sales reps recording product demonstrations and marketers recording presentations and training content.
“We’re making it easy for anyone to communicate with the power of video,” said Michael Litt, CEO and co-founder of Vidyard. “We are tearing down the barriers that have kept people from using video and making it simple to create, share, and track video playback without the need for expensive software or video editing experience.”
SoundCloud launches SoundCloud Go in Canada
SoundCloud announced the launch of SoundCloud Go, its new subscription service, in Canada. Available on the web, iOS App Store, and Google Play, SoundCloud Go gives users access to ad-free listening, offline listening, and access to 135 million tracks. The service is free, and iOS users can avoid the App Store surcharge of $13.99 by going directly to soundcloud.com/go.
“SoundCloud Go will provide Canadians with the largest and most diverse music and audio catalogue in the world,” said Alexander Ljung, SoundCloud co-founder and CEO. “Subscribers will be able to enjoy tracks from emerging creators, new tracks from indies, global hits as well as hits in the making, all in one place. Mogo reaches 300,000 members
After announcing that it hit 250,000 members in early September, Vancouver-based Mogo has now reached 300,000 members.
