Starting a small business can be a daunting task – there are lots of unknowns, many questions to get answered, and it’s hard to know where to start.

Through its small business programming, the City of Toronto helps over 25,000 entrepreneurs each year get their start by providing training, one-on-one support and grants.

With over 80% of its clients just getting started, the City delivers a Starting Your Business 101 boot camp every other week. These sessions book up fast and are filled with entrepreneurs just getting started on their journey.

Now to help those that can’t make it to these sessions, or want to learn from the comfort of their home, the City of Toronto has launched a web-based version so that they can learn online.

The ten modules cover everything from doing a self-assessment to understand if you’re ready to start a business, to developing a business plan and financing. Entrepreneurs looking to get started can find the modules online here – https://www.toronto.ca/business-economy/business-start-ups/training/online-training/
