The last few months have energized us with new venture creation, new accelerator programs and new partnerships (stay tuned). The fall promises to be no different. Here are the latest highlights happening at Highline BETA.
Highline BETA Toronto Office — WeWork Richmond Street West.
Highline BETA works across three key areas to help partners co-create the future of their industries:
Corporate Programs — We work with corporate partners and their intrapreneurs to identify key areas of interest. We dig deep to discover disruptive opportunities for further exploration. We educate and mentor through internal/external accelerators and bootcamps.
New Ventures — We recruit and support top-tier founders to build MVPs and get early customer traction. We accelerate ventures from ideation to scale.
Investment Funds — We invest in founders working on co-created startups, alongside other pre-seed startups tackling opportunities in key areas of interest to us & to our corporate partners. Contact us to explore LP opportunities.
What we’ve been up to this summer:
Watch the RBCx Accelerator in action.
We’ve been working closely with RBC to deliver corporate accelerator programming in the form of RBCx. This intrapreneurship program is an employee innovation initiative that taps into the hackathon mindset. Watch the video.
Empowering Female Angel Investors
This summer, Highline BETA announced the acquisition of Female Funders, an online education platform with the goal of empowering 1,000 women to become angel investors by the year 2020. We made the announcement at Montreal StartupFest’s premium festival, AngelFest, co-hosted by our own Lauren Robinson. Read more about the acquisition here.
The Highline BETA Co-Creation Dinner series is a “unique opportunity to discuss startup co-creation approaches and how leading corporations and founders are connecting to successfully launch innovative ventures” (Tina McAvella, VP — Product Innovation and Development, Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company). We hosted one of our intimate, invite-only events most recently in Toronto this June.
Our next dinner will be hosted in Las Vegas. If you’d like to attend a future Dinner Series event, leave your information here.
Innovator Interview Series
Every month we will be featuring forward-thinking Innovators who are transforming both their organizations and the ecosystem around them. Checkout our latest interviews with Debbie Barta of MasterCard and with Stefan Dicker of Barclays. If you know someone you would like to nominate for our Innovator Series, please reach out.
What others are saying about us:
