Startup companies with technology solutions for the mining, healthcare, and financial services industries competed for $25,000 in cash and $100,000 in in-kind services. Pycap CEO Stuart Browne provided mentorship to the finalists to help position their investor presentation for the best chances for success.
The event was put on by Startup Canada, in collaboration with UPS, Export Development Canada, and the Trade Commissioner Service. More than 1,500 Canadian entrepreneurs participated for the event to join the Global Entrepreneur Cohort to become export-ready and to graduate from their 1-day global accelerator.
