Innovators chosen to participate in the program will receive:

  • Free 18-month access to The Joe Fresh Centre for Fashion Innovation (located in downtown Toronto)
  • The opportunity to receive start up funding (up to $50,000)
  • Exclusive industry mentorship to develop and grow the business
  • Free dedicated desk and workspace
  • Eligibility to receive marketing and promotion support (up to $5,000)
  • Access to equipment, facilities and shared amenities of the Fashion Zone
  • Opportunity to be showcased on
  • Academic recognition by Ryerson University upon completion of the 18-month program

The Centre is open to all Canadian individuals and businesses, excluding Quebec. In order to be eligible to apply, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Be above the age of majority in that applicant’s province of residence
  • Have a Canadian business registration number (or is in the application process to acquire one)
  • Have a business plan and/or prototype for their fashion-inspired startup
  • Complete the online application and submit a 2-minute supporting video

Application window: January 10, 2017 – February 21, 2017
Notification of acceptance: April 17, 2017
Program duration: May 1, 2017 – October 30, 2018
