Good News Ventures has announced that Fund I portfolio company HTBase is being acquired by Juniper Networks

Juniper is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Sunnyvale, California that develops and markets networking products. Juniper’s goal is to offer a complete multi-cloud software and vision to its thousands of global customers.

HTBase CEO Bruno Andrade and his team have worked for many years to build a deep tech company. Juniper sees the HTBase acquisition as the opportunity to add compute and storage capability to its platforms, which will ultimately allow the company to go to market with a complete platform and vision.

Good News Ventures Fund I was formed in March 2017 and has invested in a total of 13 Canadian high tech companies. HTBase is GNV Fund I's first investment and first exit in less than two years.

Good News Ventures' investment philosophy is based on timing, market opportunity and technology. It states that the rapid growth in cloud computing and infrastructure management along with HTBase’s timely deep technology in composable IT infrastructure solutions has made for a strong investment.
