The Canadian Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), with support from the Province of Ontario through the Ontario150 program, and in collaboration with partners across the province, has launched an LGBTQ Youth Entrepreneur Support and Mentorship Program named Out For Business (#OUTForBusiness).

The objective of the #OUTForBusiness Program is to empower LGBTQ Youth Entrepreneurs, 18-39 years old, by providing them with financial support and tailored guidance to help them establish or grow their own businesses.

The annual, one-year program is built on four pillars:

  • Access to funding
  • Mentorship
  • Business skills development
  • Information resources

The Program will leverage existing small business/enterprise programs supporting entrepreneurs, however this program will be differentiated in a way that specifically assists LGBTQ Youth Entrepreneurs.

If you self-identify as part of the LGBTQ community, are 18-39 years of age and are in the “start-up” or “growth” stage of your business you may qualify for the program.

Participants will have access to networking opportunities, business “start-up” or “grow” grant funding, learning workshops and webinars, and expert business mentors that have been matched to them based on their current trajectory and needs.

The 2017 / 2018 intake deadline is Friday October 6th, 2017. To access more information and apply visit: www.cglcc.ca/youth.
