The National Research Council (NRC) is supporting the Blockchain Revolution Global (BRG) conference, happening in Toronto on April 24 and 25.

The NRC is responsible for the federal Government’s Industrial Research Assistance Program which provides advice, connections and funding to help small and medium sized businesses to increase innovation, capacity and help these companies take their ideas to market.

The NRC will be partnering with the Blockchain Research Institute to  conduct a workshop for about 50 participants on April 25 from 2 to 4pm.  The participants will be drawn from the conference and invited guests.

Participants will be asked to reflect on the knowledge acquired at the conference to better develop and apply this transformative technology for small and medium sized businesses. They will also discuss how to develop a better understanding of potential markets and their opportunities and challenges both within Canada and internationally.  Furthermore, linkages will also be explored between the current NRC superclusters initiative- a high-tech collaboration strategy aimed at fostering growth and creating jobs–  and  Blockchain and other technologies. This workshop is intended to a tactical, actual workathon contributing to the Scale AI Supercluster.

The BRI will propose questions for the participants to consider. A final report on the workshop capturing the main ideas and recommendations will be prepared by the BRI.

Those interested in the workshop can register online using the coupon code GOVBRG to receive a discount.
