In collaboration with UN Women's Empower Women, Parkdale Centre for Innovation’s Women in Leadership program is celebrating Women’s History Month & the completion of the first Cohort.

The “Women as Catalysts for Innovation & Entrepreneurship” event happens March 29 at 5:30. Hear from a panel of experts from women entrepreneurs and industry leaders about how women can be catalysts for entrepreneurship and innovation in a technologically driven world.

This is also an opportunity to learn more about the Women in Leadership program, meet some of Cohort #1 participants, and hear how they’ve benefited from the program. The Women in Leadership program focuses on providing accessible and inclusive leadership, business training and entrepreneurship skills to women. It has been designed to support women in organizational and business leadership roles who wish to start a business, while also providing access to micro-financing from Alterna Savings.

Participants in the 12-week program will have the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of career advancement and growing a business. The first half of the program focuses on Leadership skills and training, while the second half focuses on fundamentals of starting a business.
