On November 30, The Entrepreneurship Society is hosting an event with the CVCA inviting 40 entrepreneurs to be paired with tech investors and learn key lessons about fundraising. Confirmed investors in attendance include Real Ventures, BDC, iGan Partners, MaRS IAF, Tandem Expansion Capital, Verdex Capital, Information Venture Partners, and Quantius.

“The goal is for transformational technology startups who have already raised some seed capital (as a minimum) to learn more about the investor landscape in Canada, gain a better understanding of what investors are looking at each phase of a company’s development, and to interact with other entrepreneurs,” said Bill Hennessey, co-founder of The Entrepreneurship Society and president of Qwatro Industrial Chemicals.

The night will also include a speech from TopHat CEO Michael Silagadze — who recently announced that former Vision Critical marketing SVP Nick Stein is joining the team — and roundtables connecting corporate partners, investors, and entrepreneurs in one place.

The Entrepreneurship Society works with tech founders to help them scale beyond the Series A stage by facilitating trade missions to San Francisco, Boston, and New York, offering mentorship, and hosting networking events with vertical experts.

BetaKit has also teamed up with The Entrepreneurship Society to help get the word out (at a discount). Entrepreneurs looking to attend can get 20% off tickets using the code ‘BETAKIT’ here.
