The highly competitive LaunchYU Accelerator is now accepting applications for its program that helps an elite group of 20 startups build, launch, and scale their venture. Entrepreneurs are often over-advised and under supported. LaunchYU changes that. Its unique approach helps address critical business challenges, provides meaningful support, and offers the opportunity to expand networks; thereby increasing the chances of success.

Known as only accepting the very “best of the best”, the program has seen enormous success in its past 5 years of existence. Last year alone, LaunchYU ventures raised over $7 million in funding and generated over $1.5 million in revenues.

Organized into four one-month sprints focused on product-market fit, pitching, go-to-market strategy, and financing & fundraising; the program provides weekly workshops and bootcamps, one-on-on mentorship, investor sessions, special Infounder sessions and $55,000 in awards to participants from May-September at York University Keele campus.

For the second year in a row, LaunchYU has partnered with Infounders, an organization that organizes Mastermind peer feedback sessions for entrepreneurs. Struggles and challenges are openly shared in these sessions where talks go beyond the surface level to explore the good, the bad, and the not so pretty aspects of entrepreneurship.

Startups in the program are also given access to a host of resources and networks including angels and venture capitalists, top tier entrepreneurs and mentors, as well as exclusive access to the Innovation York perks package. The program also includes a $25,000 Aird & Berlis StartupSource Market Entry Award which provides the top startup with $12,500 and an equal amount of Aird & Berlis’s StartupSource legal services.

Applicants do not need to be affiliated with York University to apply and there is no cost to participate. LaunchYU accepts all types of ventures including for-profit and not-for profit ventures.

The deadline to submit applications is March 24th. Please visit www.launchyu.ca/accelerator to apply or learn more.
