UPPlift, an urban pilot program identifying emergent smart city solutions and facilitating live technology demonstrations to resolve city challenges, is announcing three new innovation challenges from its partner and test-bed QuadReal.

QuadReal is a Canadian real estate investment, development and management company operating on a global scale. It focuses on working with best-in-class partners and building trusted relationships based on a foundation of respect and integrity.

QuadReal has identified three additional areas of concentration while looking at ways to solve existing challenges in the built environment:

  1. Enhance sustainability and affect sustainable behaviour related to zero waste objective, water conservation, community engagement promotion, and measurement
  2. Improve building operations via visibility and automation of building systems and processes
  3. Improve the availability and integration of building system data including HVAC, Lighting, Power, Access Control, Security, Fire, Life Safety, Building Transportation, Waste Disposal, Parking, Elevators, Water, Gas.

 

Qualifying responses to this innovation challenge could receive up to $25,000 for pilot installation.
