Applications for YSpace’s first-ever Food Accelerator cohort are now open!
As York University’s community innovation hub, YSpace has been host to over 29 incubated companies and multiple community programs since 2018. Now, the team is turning their attention to supporting innovation in the food and beverage consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.
One of the first of its kind in the GTA, YSpace’s Food Accelerator will help food and beverage CPG ventures build their strategy, grow their network and scale their business. The Accelerator is geared towards startups who sell product through at least 10 points of sales and earn around $1500-$3000 in monthly recurring revenue.
Selected companies will run through five-months of programming at the YSpace facility in Downtown Markham, working on five essential components of their business: product packaging, pricing, operations, sales strategies and scaling.
The program will provide companies with a chance to connect with YSpace’s world-class industry network. Startups will be organically paired with experienced mentors for each phase of the program and will have exclusive CEO sit-downs with the founders of Awake Chocolate and Pur Gum. Entrepreneurs will also learn about the industry from influential figures at some of Canada’s biggest CPG companies.
Interested in growing your food or beverage venture? You can learn more about the program and apply by July 19th at 11:59 PM at http://yspace.yorku.ca/food-accelerator/. Please direct any questions to David Kwok, YSpace’s Entrepreneurship Manager, at email@example.com.
